Meng is a PhD student in the EPSRC CDT in Smart Medical Imaging at King’s College London and Imperial College London, supervised by Prof. Tom Vercauteren and Dr. Miaojing Shi. Meng received her undergraduate degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Liverpool in 2020, followed by a Master’s degree focused on medical images, artificial intelligence, and medical robotics at Imperial College London in 2021. Her project is on Semi-supervised detection and tracking of instruments for robotic surgery guidance, and her research interests include deep learning, medical imaging computing, and computer vision.
Zhipeng is a Ph.D. student at VisCom supervised by Dr. Shi. Before his Ph.D., Zhipeng received his B.Eng. degree in Software Engineering from Beihang University in 2021. For undergraduate research, he worked with Prof. Yan Xu, who is affiliated with Beihang and MSRA. He now focuses on computer vision and deep learning, especially their applications on crowd analysis.
Miss Tiarna Lee received her MEng in Biomedical Engineering from King’s College London in 2021. During her studies, she worked on modelling ultrasound wave propagation when using microbubbles and the quantitative measurement of inhomogeneous magnetisation transfer parameters in brain MR images using artificial intelligence (AI). Her MEng project focussed on the classification of the season of conception of infants by AI using the children’s facial landmarks. She is currently a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Andrew King and Dr Miaojing Shi. Her PhD project is focussed on researching racial and gender biases in AI-based segmentation and classification tools.
Dr. Yingyue Xu is a post-doc research fellow at Fudan University, China.
